Our Social Commitment
The spirit of giving and selflessly serving others are the principles on which the association “Il Sorriso di Barbara” is founded. These values stem from the example set by Professor Barbara Ferrari Fiora, who taught English Language and Literature for 22 years at the Don Bosco Institute in Brescia, making it her second family.

Since 2011, Il Sorriso di Barbara has been collaborating with the Salesian Institute “Don Bosco” in Brescia, the school where Barbara Ferrari Fiora used to teach. The project, named after the affectionate phrase Barbara often used with her students, “You are worth so much more,” consists of four scholarships of 500 euros each, awarded by the Association to the Don Bosco High School in Brescia. In the early years, the scholarships were given to students who had Barbara as their teacher. Later, the project was expanded and continues today, awarding the four best students in the school. Through this initiative, the association maintains a strong and lasting relationship with the Institute.
